We appreciate that booking a holiday is a significant commitment, and understand that some of you may like to know a little bit more about us while you are considering renting our property. So, here is some information that you will hopefully find helpful.

We first came on holiday to Corsica and fell in love with the island: the scenery, the people, the beaches, the food, the climate . . . we could go on and on!  We had the most fantastic holiday in Calvi and spent many an evening enjoying an apéritif, thinking “life doesn’t get any better than this”, and trying to work out how to turn a dream into reality. Having concocted a plan as to how we could perhaps live in such a beautiful place, we visited again, and after travelling around the island we really felt that Calvi was the perfect choice, as not only is it so picturesque and unspoilt, it is compact and easy to walk from the old town to the citadel, to the marina and to the beach, and also there are interesting villages and forests within easy reach.

So, nearly nine years ago, we left our hectic London lives behind and took the plunge, and have never looked back. We have since welcomed guests of all ages from all over the world, from New Zealand to South Africa, Norway to California, and ranging from just one month to over eighty years old.

Having lived in Calvi for several years, we are happy to share our local knowledge with our guests, so if you decide to stay please feel free to take advantage!  We also speak French so should you need any assistance during your holiday then we will be happy to help. We live on a sailing yacht in the marina, so we are on hand should you have any problems, but as we are not living ‘on site’ rest assured that unless you want to, you won’t see us during your stay!
